Band Bio: Rayella is a family band from Marlinja community, they have been playing around the Northern Territory for a couple of years but have been sitting around the campfires writing songs together for many years before that. Their songs are sung in both Mudburra and English and are stories of their country and strong messages full of passion and love for their family and culture.

They have performed at festivals such as the Desert Harmony Festival, Barunga Festival and NAIDOC celebrations at Borroloola, as well as headlining many rodeos around the area.

Eleanor Dixon the main singer of Rayella has been singing and song-writing since she was 16, she has studied music, majoring in voice at CASM Adelaide University and also Charles Darwin University. She has participated in the Music NT’s Barkly Diva’s program and performed solo at the Desert Harmony Festival. Eleanor has a powerful voice that is full of emotion and inspirational messages.

Raymond Dixon the principle music composer of Rayella has been writing songs, playing guitar and singing all his life. He was a guitarist for the rocking 80’s band Kulamindini from Elliott and currently he is writing for Rayella and composing Gospel music in his own studio.

With a contemporary and country flavor they are a unique sound full of heart that is not to be missed…
